Sample Solution

Effective communication is of the highest importance in the healthcare profession. Communicating well is crucial not only with subordinates and superiors but also with peers. In order to do their jobs well, nurses need to be able to communicate effectively. In my current position, effective communication and comprehension are crucial in order to minimize the likelihood of misinterpretation. It is imperative that I convey information clearly and ascertain that it is comprehended by all parties involved. There is a wealth of resources out there for those looking at improving their verbal articulacy. In the past, I’ve taken courses on digital body language on LinkedIn, given that I do most of my work remotely, in order to better understand and respond to the nonverbal cues of my coworkers and new hires. To ensure that my coworkers are properly trained to interact with patients and their loved ones, I have also developed training on tone of voice. The process of providing and receiving feedback facilitates the growth of a productive and harmonious working relationship within a professional collaborative team (Master’s 2020). Additionally, regular monthly meetings are conducted between myself and my manager to facilitate discussions pertaining to the ongoing course and to exchange feedback for the purposes of personal and professional advancement.

Nurses possess a repertoire of exceptionally proficient communication abilities that they employ during collaborative engagements within the healthcare environments. Nurses have the ability to convey information and instruction in a manner that is easily grasped by their patients. Understanding, appreciation, and evaluation are necessary for effective listening (Agarwal, 2009). Nurses possess the capacity to engage in active listening as a means of attentively comprehending verbal communication. Nurses possess the capability to engage in culturally sensitive care delivery and effectively collaborate within a range of diverse healthcare environments. In order to ensure that all messages are consistent and understood, nurses also learn to recognize and interpret their own and others’ non-verbal cues. As a professional, I recognize the importance of continually developing my communication abilities. By taking initiative and welcoming criticism, we can always gain access to more tools for professional development.
