The purpose of this discussion is for learners to explore academic integrity, crediting, and resources.
Course Outcomes
This assignment enables the student to meet the following course outcomes:

Preparing the Discussion
Discussions are designed to promote dialogue between faculty and students, and students and their peers. In discussions students:

 Discussion
Maintaining your own integrity as a professional nurse is an essential part of your career. Despite knowing the consequences for an academic integrity infraction, why do some students still falsify their work?
What are the most challenging APA formatting issues for you? Why do you find these areas so challenging? What resources will you use to overcome these challenges?

Sample Solution
Maintaining integrity as a nursing student is very important in order to be successful in your career path. Most nursing students are honest and want to accomplish their work the right way, yet some nevertheless opt to cheat. Some nursing students plagiarize because they are afraid of failing, they take on too much at once, and they possess poor time management skills. Plagiarism is a major problem in educational settings and has had damaging effects on a variety of professional endeavors. (Smith, 2016). The code stipulates that maintaining integrity necessitates harmony between one’s private and professional values. (Masters, 2020). Honesty in the pursuit of a higher education will always be the way to go about doing so.
I know that I’m struggling with the APA formatting issue because it’s new to me. Some of the APA formatting I may find challenging will be how to write a reference, paraphrase, cite multiple resources, and organize the overall paper in order to meet the rubric criteria. The resources I plan to use to help me with these challenges are the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association as my guide in order to formulate my assigned papers, read the assignments thoroughly, seek assistance from my professor when needed, and utilize the school’s provided resources.
